How this calculation works

Mode — Choose Find value (X% of Y) or Find percent (X is what % of Y); the first two fields relabel automatically.
Find value — Enter percentage (%) and base value; result = base × (percentage ÷ 100).
Find percent — Enter part value and total value; result = (part ÷ total) × 100 as a percent. If total is 0, the tool shows an error instead of dividing.

Both modes use standard percent arithmetic; non-numeric inputs are rejected.
